St. Paul's has a number of halls and rooms which are available for hire by the local community. The details of these follow.
The Social Room is a large, light room. The hire charge includes the use of the fully equipped kitchen, accessed by a serving hatch and a door. The room has it's own toilet facilities, including a disabled toilet, which are accessible directly from the room.
There is a sound system, complete with induction 'loop' for those with hearing impairment, and there is equipment for showing DVD's, videos and slides. Laptop presentations can be shown through a digital projector onto a large screen. If the hirer wishes to use these facilities then this must be made known to the booking secretary in advance so that arrangements can be made to enable their use. There are newly fitted blinds if 'black out' is required. Tables are available at the hirers request.
The room measures 9 metres x 9 metres and seats up to 70 people.
Hire is £9 per hour.
The Lounge is a pleasant well lit room with a fully equipped kitchen, accessed by a serving hatch and door. There are adjacent toilets with facilities also for the disabled. The room contains a piano, which is tuned regularly and is available for the hirer's use. Tables are available at the hirer's request.
The Lounge measures approximately 8 metres x 6 metres and and seats up to 35 people.
Hire is £8 per hour.
The Main Hall is located in the old chapel on the opposite side of the road to St. Paul's Church.
The room has a large raised stage and wooden floor. The Hall contains a piano, which is tuned regularly and is available for the hirer's use.
There is easy access to toilet facilities including those for the disabled.
The use of a fully equipped kitchen is included in the hire price.
The Hall measures approximately 13 metres x 10 metres and seats up to 90 people.
Hire is £9 per hour.
The Junior Room is located in the old chapel on the opposite side of the road to St. Paul's Church. The room has access to the same toilet and kitchen facilities as the Main Hall.
The room measures 9 metres x 6 metres and seats up to 35 people.
Hire is £8 per hour.
The various rooms are used for: lectures, seminars, talks, dance classes, fitness and yoga classes, rehearsals, concerts, guides and brownie groups, sewing classes - the list is endless.
Please note that the Methodist Church nationally does not allow alcohol to be brought or consumed on their premises.
